Five Fourth of July Activities for a Safe Celebration
Independence day is just around the corner and you know what that means! It’s time to bust out those classic red, white and blue Old Navy tees you wear once a year, gather your favorite mixed drink recipes, run to Target for some new pool floaties, visit your local firework stand for some poppers or sparklers and get to grillin’ those classic American delicacies. While our fourth of July may look a little bit different this year due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, we can still be patriotic and make long-lasting memories from the comfort of our own homes! Here’s five Fourth of July activities – for a safe celebration
Stars & stripes breakfast. Start off your morning with a patriotic breakfast of red, white and blue! There are many ways to get creative with one, so check out this article for more ideas on how to achieve the Americana breakfast vibe.
Backyard BBQ. Hot dogs and hamburgers are fourth of July staples! Invite a couple of friends over for a small, but safe social distancing get-together and whip up some star spangled sides and festive drinks worthy of America’s birthday.
Make a splash in the pool. There’s nothing better than dipping into the pool on a hot day or chillaxin in a floatie with an iced drink in hand. The fourth of July is a perfect day to hang out poolside with your family and delight in a few rocket pops while you’re at it!
Star Spangled S’mores. Nothing screams Summer more than a S’mores treat. Toasty marshmallows pillowed on top of a graham cracker with a creamy chunk of chocolate, simply delectable! It is the perfect dessert to munch on while gazing at the patriotic fireworks shooting across the sky.
Sparklers. What’s the 4th of July without a classic sparkler pic? If you can’t make it to a firework show this year – sparklers are sure to give the light show fix you need. *Cue America the Beautiful*
No matter how you celebrate this year – just make sure to take lots of photos and make lots of good memories. And when the time comes for you to back them up, make sure to check out our article on storing in the cloud or at home.
Happy 4th of July!
